Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing or using glegacyfoundation.com (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. Who We Are

G Legacy Foundation (“GLF,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a California nonprofit public benefit corporation. We operate this Site to advertise rental housing, accept rental applications, and facilitate lease execution for properties we own or manage in Sacramento, California.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to submit a rental application or to enter into a lease agreement through this Site. By using the Site or submitting an application, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. Accuracy of Information

You agree that all information you submit to the Site is true, accurate, and complete to the best of your knowledge. False, misleading, or fraudulent information may result in:

  • Denial of your rental application;
  • Termination of any tenancy agreement subsequently entered into based on that information; and
  • Any other lawful action available to GLF.

5. Equal Housing Opportunity

G Legacy Foundation is an equal housing opportunity provider. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, age, familial status, source of income, disability, veteran or military status, or any other characteristic protected under federal, state, or local law.

If you believe you have been discriminated against in connection with this Site, please contact us at glegacyfoundation@gmail.com. You may also file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) or the California Civil Rights Department.

6. Rental Application Process

Submission of a rental application does not constitute:

  • A guarantee that your application will be approved;
  • An offer of tenancy; or
  • A binding agreement of any kind.

GLF reviews applications and makes tenancy decisions in its discretion, subject to applicable fair-housing law.

7. Permitted Use of the Site

You may use the Site only for its intended purposes: viewing rental listings, submitting an application, checking your application status, and (if approved) signing your lease.

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information;
  • Attempt to access areas of the Site not intended for you (including administrative areas);
  • Interfere with the operation, security, or integrity of the Site;
  • Use automated scripts, bots, scrapers, or similar tools to access the Site;
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Site;
  • Attempt to introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code into the Site.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, images, logos, branding, layout, and code — is owned by G Legacy Foundation or used with permission. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Site or its content without our prior written permission.

The “G Legacy Foundation” name and logo are property of GLF.

9. Third-Party Services

The Site is built and operated using services provided by third parties, including Supabase, Vercel, Resend, and Google. These services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices, which we encourage you to review. We are not responsible for the actions of these third parties beyond what is required of us under applicable law.

10. Disclaimers

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. To the maximum extent permitted by law, GLF disclaims all warranties, including without limitation any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

We make no guarantee about:

  • The availability or uptime of the Site;
  • The accuracy or completeness of rental listings (rental properties are subject to availability and may be removed or modified at any time);
  • The timeliness or success of any application submission or response.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by California law, neither G Legacy Foundation nor its officers, directors, employees, agents, or affiliates will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site, including but not limited to:

  • Data loss or corruption;
  • Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunity;
  • Service interruption;
  • Errors or inaccuracies in listings;
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your information.

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory of liability (contract, tort, statute, or otherwise) and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless G Legacy Foundation from any claim, damage, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable attorney fees) arising out of:

  • Your violation of these Terms;
  • Your violation of any applicable law;
  • Your submission of false, misleading, or unlawful information through the Site.

13. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Sacramento County, California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of these Terms and may provide additional notice on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and G Legacy Foundation regarding your use of the Site.
